saff and gen in the sf chronicle!

I totally forgot there was to be this lovely article a few Sunday’s ago San Francisco Chronicle, until my Mom sent me an email. Click the link to read about all the shops, if you’re lazy I will paraphrase here:
Saffron and Genevieve: Images of Narnia come to mind as you walk into this unassuming Victorian storefront. Scarlett Fiona Reed’s 9-year-old home and design shop is her homage to an earlier era offering antiques, vintage ephemera, and upholstered pieces. Bowls of limbless undressed porcelain doll forms from the closed 1940s-era Kerr & Hinz doll factory, a mounted deer head constructed from pinecones, and vintage pressed botany set the tone at this otherworldly shop. Reed, who has design clients from San Francisco to Carmel Valley, caters to families and Silicon Valley founders, including tech bachelors, who appreciate her timeless aesthetic. Covetable items include ceramics from Laura Zindel, candles from Austin Press, and blankets from Brahms Mount. Quotes from literary greats like Victorian-era novelist George Eliot are handwritten on an A-frame sign, and change depending on Reed’s mood.
