Scarlett Fiona Reed Art

Scarlett Fiona Reed’s past professions help in her role as mixed media ceramicist. She has the soul of an artist, the insight of an interior designer and the eye of an antique dealer and curator. Every piece she makes is meant to be a timeless treasure. If it’s for decoration, it should elevate the space it resides in and make you smile. If it’s a functional piece, she hopes you find joy in every use. She currently lives and makes art full time in Carefree Arizona, her studio overlooks the Sonoran Desert and is endlessly inspirational.

“I was born an artist, and from a very young age proclaimed that I wanted to be a potter when I grew up. I took ceramic classes from time to time but it was an endeavor that had to wait. Until then, I occupied myself with other mediums: charcoal, pastel, watercolor, assemblage, fiber art, poetry, jewelry, faux painting, and shell art. I opened a beautiful shop that showcased my finds, as well as my art and other artist’s work. The constant thoughtful curation of it was where I shined. Now that I am finally a grown up, I am so grateful to be in my happy clay place any time I want! I favor organic forms, textures, and colors. My tools and materials are my hands and from the earth: clay, fibers from plants and cacti, linen and hemp, and recycled bits and bobs. Half of the fun is my morning walk on our meandering paths, foraging for art supplies from the land. No two pieces will be the same.”
